The 24-year-old and the Spanish club have been in talks over a loan move until the end of the season, and reports that terms are being discussed to finalise the temporary transfer. The deal will not have an option for Betis to buy him outright and United will cover part of his wages.

The move away from Old Trafford has been a long time coming for Antony, who has failed to live up to the hype since joining from Ajax in 2022. He has made just 13 appearances in all competitions this season and only three of those – two in the Carabao Cup and one in the Europa League – have been from the start.
