With Lukas Podolski already in the bag at the start of the week, the signing of the German international has sparked fresh optimism ahead of the 2012/13 campaign for Gunners’ fans. With Arsene Wenger more reserved than most (except for last August!) in dabbling in the transfer market, there is every expectation that the Frenchman is to buck the trend and at least add another couple of names, overhauling his squad with the departures of various disappointing stars.
In a summer whereby Euro 2012 and London 2012 will be taking centre stage, the transfer market will be more difficult to negotiate than ever before, and we have seen with Chelsea’s pre-contract signature of Marko Marin that getting deals done early is not only reassuring for fans, but sensible in terms of logistics. Arsenal are often linked with hundreds of names throughout the course of a year, but we have narrowed down the list to ten that might be interesting the North London club this forthcoming window.
