James has often been criticised by England fans for never being available to take his chances with the Three Lions struggling to find the correct fit at right-back between Trent Alexander-Arnold and Kyle Walker. However, in Thomas Tuchel's second game in charge, James took the chance with both hands as he gave England the opener against Latvia with a spectacular free kick and fans are in awe of the Chelsea captain.

James has been in good form for Chelsea as well this season and he has managed to keep his injuries at bay so far in the second half of the season. As such, he will be keen on proving to Tuchel that he could be the future of the Three Lions' right-back spot as the 2026 World Cup slowly approaches.
