The German side have been linked with a January move for the England international, but journalist Patrick Berger has reported that bringing him to the Bundesliga on loan would be too expensive, particularly due to his wages.

AC Milan have become the favourites to land the 27-year-old, having already opened talks over a potential loan transfer. Rashford has made clear that he is ready to leave United and the club are desperate to offload him. Rashford has not featured since December 12 and has been left out of recent squads by coach Ruben Amorim.
