Gravenberch revealed his thoughts on who should be awarded the 2025 Ballon d'Or, picking his Liverpool team-mate and once-favourite Mohamed Salah to lift the prestigious accolade. He also reacted to the arrival of Dutch team-mate Frimpong from Bayer Leverkusen, expressing his happiness at the move.

Salah was the leading candidate to lift the 2025 Ballon d'Or in the first half of the season, as he was leading the charts for both goals and assists in the Premier League. However, not only did the Reds crash out of the Champions League round of 16 to eventual winners PSG, but the Egyptian himself suffered a minor dip in form. Despite finishing with 29 goals and 18 assists in 38 league games en route to Liverpool's top-flight triumph, the fact that they crashed out early in Europe's premier club competition has seen Salah slip out of the discussion, with Ousmane Dembele and Lamine Yamal widely expected to battle for the award.

When asked about the 2025 Ballon d'Or by , Gravenberch said: "That's a tough one, but I'll go for my teammate: Mohamed Salah."
Gravenberch also expressed his delight over Frimpong's arrival at Liverpool from Bayer Leverkusen, adding on whether he helped persuade his Dutch compatriot to move to Anfield: "We didn't really have to convince him. I think he made up his mind pretty quickly. I'm super happy that he's my team-mate."
