Fans of club football don’t often enjoy international breaks and Everton supporters had added reason to be annoyed with most recent round of country-based action with Seamus Coleman’s broken leg set to ruin the bulk of his 2017.
The Irish full-back was on the end of a horrific ‘tackle’ from Wales’ Neil Taylor that has left him ruled out for the remainder of this season and a hefty chunk of the early months of next and led some to question if he’ll ever be the same player again. Natural comparisons have been drawn between his set-back and the one Luke Shaw suffered in September 2015, which the England international hasn’t really come back from even now.
