Lots of West Ham United fans tore into Roberto Jimenez on social media after the Irons shot-stopper struggled against Newcastle on Saturday.
Supporters have described the 33-year-old as being ‘terrible’, with some pondering if there are better options elsewhere in the club that can step in between the sticks while first-choice Lukasz Fabianski is sidelined through injury.
Fabianski has not featured for the Hammers since facing Bournemouth at the end of the September, having torn a muscle in his hip and subsequently underwent surgery, likely ruling the Polish ace out of action until the New Year.

Roberto, signed in the summer as a free agent, has started in the net in each of West Ham’s Premier League fixtures since Fabianski last featured, but is yet to keep a clean sheet and was arguably at fault for two of Newcastle’s goals on Saturday.
The experienced Spaniard made a catastrophic decision to wander into no-man’s land to leave Federico Fernandez with an open goal to double the Magpies’ lead, and failed to keep out Jonjo Shelvey’s second-half free-kick when his attempted parry could not successfully redirect the ball.
He had somewhat atoned for his 22nd-minute blunder with two top-draw saves before the break to prevent the scoreline from getting out of hand, but has now conceded a combined nine goals in his five Premier League appearances.
Moreover, Roberto shipped four at Oxford United in the EFL Cup as West Ham were eliminated in the Third Round away to the League One side.
Here are some of the messages shared on his performance against Newcastle…
